07/01/2008 Fourth of July!
  The Chesapeake Boathouse will be open 7am to noon on Friday, July 4th, with an open rowing session from 7am to 10am (many thanks to Alison Derrick!). The boathouse will be closed in the afternoon to allow staff to enjoy the holiday, and we will resume normal hours on Saturday, July 5.

We hope everyone enjoys the holiday weekend!
 
06/20/2008 Route 66 Kayak Rentals
  The Route 66 Boathouse at Overholser is now offering both rowing and kayak rentals on Saturday mornings, 7am to 11am. Kayak rentals are $10 per hour single and $15 for a double. Overholser offers great kayaking in a quiet tree-lined setting where you can paddle into the Stinchcomb Preserve.

The Route 66 Boathouse is located on the east side of Lake Overholser at 3100 Overholser Drive.

06/04/2008 GET ON THE WATER in 2008!
  Open Rowing Start Date & Hours

Weekend Open rowing at the boathouse will begin Sunday, February 24.
Weekend Open Rowing Hours:
Saturday 8 to 11 am
Sunday 3 to 5 pm

Weekday Open Rowing will begin after daylight savings time goes into effect. We will begin Open Rowing on Monday, March 10.
Weekday Open Rowing Hours:
Monday - Friday, 6 to 8 am
Monday - Friday, 5:45 to 7:45 pm

Shells can be reserved the day before you plan to row. To reserve a shell, call or stop by the front desk.

Cold Weather Rowing Rules will be in effect until the water temperature warms up to over 50 degrees.
