  Legacy Crew: Build a Lasting Legacy
The Legacy Crew Boat Campaign is a fundraising initiative that helps get people of all ages from all walks of life on the water by funding the purchase of equipment. All contributions are tax-deductible and go toward the purchase of new rowing shells for whichever fund you specify - youth or adult.

Matching Funds
Your gifts will also help us leverage matching funds available via grants and corporate programs. Please let us know if your employer offers a matching program or if you know of a potential corporate donor who might be interested in building a legacy.

12/30/2009 Assistant Kayak Coach Position
  The OKC Boathouse Foundation is now accepting applications for the position of Assistant Sprint Kayak Coach, a full time salaried position with benefits. The position reports to the OKCBF Head Kayak Coach and will daily collaborate with the Head Coach on training, technique, testing, talent identification, and logistics. This position will also work very closely with the USA Canoe/Kayak Sprint National Development Director on the enhancement of developmental programs for junior paddlers.

12/03/2009 Cold Weather Rowing Rules
  When water temperature drops below 50 degrees and/or air temperature drops below 40 degrees, ALL rowers and paddlers must be under the direct supervision of a staff coach and must stay within sight distance of the coach?s safety launch. All single rowers and kayakers will be required to wear a certified inflatable or non-inflatable PFD. OKCBF coaching staff will have final authority on any changes to these cold weather guidelines.

Open Rowing
Open Rowing will be held only on weekends until the start of daylight savings time on March 14, 2010. Weather permitting, weekend Open Rowing will be available on Saturdays 11-1 pm and Sundays 3-5 pm when rowers and paddlers will be provided coach and safety launch supervision.

PFDs
OKCBF will provide certified inflatable and non-inflatable PFD?s to all single?s rowers wishing to row under the Cold Weather Policy. They will be available on a first come, first serve basis.

Sunrise and Sunset
Only rowers participating in a coached program are permitted on the water before sunrise or after sunset. All rowing shells, kayaks, dragon boats, and safety launches must have a light visible from the bow and stern while on the water in low-light conditions. A bright red/green light should be mounted on the bow and white light on the stern. In the event a rower or paddler cannot attach a white light to the stern a flashing red light can be worn.
