More than 250 paddlers took to the water in the 2008 USA Canoe/Kayak Sprint National Championships and Masters National Championships held August 5-9. Paddlers from across the U.S. will competed in five days of intense racing with national championships on the line. [View results]

Along with racing, athletes and spectators shared the excitement of the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing as they gathered on the lawn of the Chesapeake Boathouse to watch the Opening Ceremonies on the event jumbotron. The week's activities ended on Saturday with a western themed banquet featuring barbecue and country line dancing.

USA Junior Moscow Trials, August 3-4
Oklahoma City also welcomed the top US Junior Sprint Canoe / Kayak athletes for the Moscow Junior Trials on August 3 and 4. Athletes who qualified at this event will travel to Moscow for the PreWorld Championship Regatta, September 3-5.
