Chesapeake Boathouse's Learn to Row class introduces you to rowing in a fun and easy going atmosphere. You'll learn the basics of both sculling (two oars) and sweep rowing (one oar), and become familiar with the equipment and basic skills you'll need to get on the water safely. The lessons begin on a land trainer, then progress to the rowing barge – a wide, flat-bottomed boat that allows you to learn rowing techniques with confidence.You'll also spend time sculling in a very stable rowing shell.

You have a choice of either weekday lessons held M-Th, 5:45-7:45 pm for two consecutive weeks, or weekend lessons held Friday, 5:45-7:45 pm and Saturday/Sunday, 1-4 pm. Check the registration page for current class dates.

Appropriate for ages 18+. Cost: 8 Sessions/Weekday, $125; 3 Sessions/Weekend $95
