Rowing, kayaking and dragon boating
can all be highly competitive and athletically demanding, or you can get on the water just for fun. The Chesapeake Boathouse offers a progressive series of
lessons to give you the skills needed to row or paddle competitively or recreationally.
No special equipment or clothing is required – we provide everything

Free Saturday morning orientation session geared
for all ages, 8+

A one-hour intro class for teens and adults. We'll
get you on the water.

Teens ages 13-19 learn the basics of rowing in
this five lesson series.

Rowing lessons for adults begin with sessions on a land trainer, then you progress to rowing in a flat-bottomed barge before getting on the water in an eight.

Once you've learned the basics, you'll want to join the rowing community
and become a member of the Chesapeake Boathouse. [learn

After you've learned the basics of sculling, this clinic will help you
refine your techniques and explore the fundamentals of racing.

Week-long Summer Rowing Camps for both beginning and experienced rowers, ages
13+, offer extended rowing sessions and in-depth instruction. Oklahoma River Adventure Camps offer kayaking, dragon boating, games and more for ages 8+.

Private and group coaching are available for both competitive and recreational
rowers. Programs include Chesapeake Junior Crew, Chesapeake Oklahoma City
Crew for masters, and Corporate Crews.
